Meanwhile, back at the Ranch...

In a sign of rising tempers in the Democratic primary showdown for Congressional District 11, the campaign chiefs for the top two contenders traded pointed barbs last week.

[...]

WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE: While the Democrats rumble, Rep. Richard Pombo, R-Tracy, is busy raising money.

He entertained House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., at an Acampo fund-raiser Friday night.

Next, Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to help his GOP pal collect cash at a May 22 fund-raiser at an undetermined site in the San Joaquin Valley.

Nice.

Brian, did you get the PR from Kellar today? That wasn't trading barbs.

Delta: Sure, the whole point of my post is that while the Dems in-fight Pombo is busy stuffing huge wads of money in his pockets. Just because I support Filson doesn't mean I can't complain about both camps unproductive behavior.

It's no longer about the ranch, for cattle it's about the land for more houses. The slow growth people are killing the Pombo campaign. Mc Closkey joined forces with Conolly a measure A slow growth attorney. The voters didn't go for anyone who stops growth. Pombo's a pimp for developers they make sure he winds races. Jerry will have a hard time to convince the voters that he not a developer type Pimp. With his windmill gimick.
